For the present this page will just provide some information on Witcham a small village near Ely in Cambridgeshire(UK). The village has one pub called the White Horse, which does very good food, at reasonable prices. If you're in the area and want to try it book early, especially for weekends, it's very popular. The pub is a family run free house with a good range of beers etc, and is in the CAMRA good pub guide. Witcham is host to the World Pea Shooting Championship held in July every year. The 1999 champion was David Hollis who lives in the village.David Hollis.
We also have a published poet in Mr Lawrence M Levey. Lawrence now lives in Ely but is a regular visitor to the village.
